COMING HOME - THE MIGHTY EIGHTH (SECONDARY MARKET PRINT)

The B-17's were brought over to Europe literally as flying fortresses. Heavily armed, they were to fly daylight missions over enemy territory - unescorted. At times they were decimated by the Me109's and FW190's and many aircraft limped home with severe damage.
