In the summer of 1940 with Germany having control of France, the Luftwaffe set up bases along the northern coastline of France in readiness to launch attacks against England. One such group was Adolf Galland's famous JG-26 fighter wing. Here they are seen taking off on another mission to the south of England during the Battle of Britain.
