BATTLE OF BRITAIN 50th ANNIVERSARY Special Edition - Learoyd VC

Originally produced for a set of 20 covers, these outstanding limited edition Commemorative covers are signed by a Battle of Britain pilot or VC awardee. They have a different theme and various postmarks including rare RAF Coltishall, Biggin Hill and Hawkinge.

This Limited Edition cover is titled "The Major Assault - 9th to 12th August 1940".

It has been personally signed by highly distinguished RAF pilot;

Wing Comander R. A. B. Learoyd VC

He flew with Bomber Command during the Battle of Britain with RAF 49 Squadron whilst based at Scampton. He was the Victoria Cross on 20th August, 1940, for his role on a daring low level bombing mission against the German invasion barges.
