Group Captain Leonard Cheshire VC, OM, DSO + 2 bars, DFC, MiD The legendary World War Two Lancaster pilot, Wing Leader who was the highest bravery award of the Victoria Cross and post war philanthropist. He flew with RAF Squadrons 102 & 35 before taking commands of 617 "Dambuster" & 76 Squadrons. After the war he was well known for his work with Charities and founded a nursing home which later became the Leonard Cheshire Disability charity and homes. Original pencil signature on heavy art paper. This example has been cut from an old damaged Robert Taylor print, "Lancaster".
