Special limited edition cover produced to commemorate the 41st Anniversary of the formation of The Guinea Pig Club. Date stamped 20th July 1982. The cover details the incident during the Battle of Britain when a young Pilot Officer, George Bennions, was shot down and seriously injured in his Spitfire. He later became a "Guinea Pig" patient at the famous plastic suregry hospital in East Grinstead, Sussex. The cover is personally signed by distinguished RAF Guinea Pig Club veteran and Battle of Britain pilot; Squadron Leader George "Ben" Bennions DFC (he flew Spitfires during the Battle of Britain with 41 Squadron) The cover is also countersigned by W.P. Meynell, President of RAFA.
