RAF Bomber Command - Special Veterans Edition

We have located from the archive a rare edition bookplate. A Special "Veterans" edition bookplate, originally produced in 2008. Only 20 of these bookplates were produced on 180gsm card and are ideal for adding into an appropriate book or for collectors wishing to add to an existing signature collection. Each bookplate was personally signed by the following RAF aircrew veterans, who flew operational missions with Bomber Command during World War Two: Squadron Leader Tony Iveson DFC (flew Spitfires in the Battle of Britain and later flew Lancasters with 617 Squadron, being involved on the attacks against the German warship Tirpitz) Wing Commander Peter Channer DSO, DFC (Pilot with 105 "Pathfinder" & 18 Squadrons, completing 84 missions) Warrant Officer Anthony "Tony" Winser (rear turret gunner with 12 & 626 Squadrons, flying 31 missions) Flight Lieutenant George Britton (Wireless Operator and Air Gunner with 90 & 186 Squadrons) Squadron Leader George "Johnny" Johnson MBE, DFM (Navigator & Gunner with 97, 617, 100 & 120 Squadrons. He was a Dambuster Raid veteran, flying as a bomb aimer with Joe McCarthy's crew in Lancaster "AJ-T" against the Sorpe Dam) Produced: 2008 Restricted Edition: 20 Approx size: 200mm x 145mm NOTE: There are only 4 of these rare, collectable bookplates left.
